NextGEN - обновление галереи 2.0.40

23 ноября вышло обновление для самой популярной бесплатной галереи WordPress — NextGEN Gallery . Это самое большое обновление со времен перехода этого плагина на версию 2+. Как многие наверное успели убедится, переход на новую версию стал весьма болезненным для многих пользователей.
Новая версия стала существенно тяжелее предыдущей, хотя и старая никогда «воздушностью» особо не отличалась. Множество багов связанных с совместимостью как с прочими WP плагинами, так и с многочисленными дополнениями к самой NextGEN. Сыграло свою роль и разделение плагина на бесплатную и премиум версию.
В результате многие пользователи галереи стали срочно искать замену, а разработчики усиленно штамповать заплатки и фиксы. Заметно активизировались и разработчики прочих плагинов — галерей. На данный момент последний крупный фикс для NextGEN — 2.0.40. Список всех правок под катом:

Это последняя, стабильная версия NextGEN 1.9.13. Версия будет пока поддерживаться, но авторы предупреждают, что рано или поздно, но переход на новую, все таки станет суровой необходимостью. Когда это будет, не уточняется.
